November through January is generally reserved for the station’s exclusive broadcast of Christmas music. Mick Lee, program director and afternoon host at 93.9 Lite FM, issued the following statement to media reporter Robert Feder: “As Chicago’s Christmas music station, 93.9 Lite FM is ready to bring holiday love, joy, and hope across Chicagoland by playing everyone’s favorite Christmas melodies.” According to Feder, the earliest that the station has begun playing nonstop Christmas music was on November 2 in both 2006 and 2007.
